Better photo of a pie from Lombardi’s in Little Italy in New York City taken by my girlfriend. I went here with her back in December. This place lived up to the hype and ratings. Usually I am not a fan of margarita slices and honestly this was unexpected. Apparently their plain pies are margarita slices (“true italian pizza”). So I was skeptical when the pizza came out, but fuck, this pizza was truly amazing and worth the hype. Their sauce was so clutch that it just worked out overall. It wasn’t even that pricey for NYC pizza. I believe the large was only 12 bucks and it was HUGE. Well worth it. Also outside the restaurant was a painting of the Mona Lisa with a pizza aka the Mona Pizza. Solid trip overall.
Also, I just found out this was the first pizzeria in America.
