I know I already posted about Little Vincent’s (Little Vinny’s for short obvzz), but I didn’t actually review it last time and just gave it a 5. I figured some subscriber’s would want a little reasoning for such a bold score! I hit up Vin’s with my main dudes the Burke and Matty Bones last night around midnight and we had us a party. Vinny’s biggest up is the hours. They are open ‘til at least 2am nightly and 4 on the weekends. You know there are times you’ve been cravin’ a slice at that time of night and just wish you had a place to go. My biggest gripe about Vinny’s is that when it gets crowded (which it alllways does at night) the quality of pizza slips. They’re churning out so much that it oftentimes just isn’t hot enough. If you are around at an off time though, such as during the afternoon of a weekday, the slices fucking slay. For those who don’t know, it is ALL about the cold cheese slice. I have never gotten a plain slice here because it would just be too much of a step down. I will admit getting cold cheese is a little bit pricey, but it is well worth it. There are a lot of people who knock this place and don’t get the hype (including me in my more naïve days), but it’s a must-stop joint on Long Island. There are two locations; one in the village in Huntington Station and one out in Ronkonkoma. The Huntington spot has always been my jam, but the Ronkonkoma one is less crowded, more spacious, and probably more likely to be fresh if you want to be able to sit comfortably and catch a breather. So stop fronting and make some moves. Oh, and I forgot my phone so big ups to Matt for the picture :)
Rating: sliding scale of 4/5 to 5/5, depending on when you go
